ABOUT US
Saying goodbye to our pet is one of life’s heaviest moments. We know, too well, the silence in the house, the empty spot on the couch, the way habits linger long after paws have stopped padding across the floor — grief is as real for our animals as it is for any human in the family.
Aquafare was born out of love and loss. It is shaped by the lessons our own pets have taught us — loyalty, patience, joy, and heartbreak. Dado, our first dog, showed us what unconditional love looks like, and also what it means to carry pain, guilt, and regrets. It is in his honour that Dado’s Room exists (where families farewell their pet); and in his memory that we walk gently beside you today.
“The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.”
— Hilary Stanton Zunin
We chose aquamation, a process as gentle and natural as the love they gave. Using water instead of fire, aquamation honours both your pet and the nature in a way that feels soft, kind, and respectful.
Here, nothing is rushed. Every step — from collection, to gentle preparation, to farewell, to the return of ashes — is done with love and care. We treat each pet as our own, because we know exactly how it feels to stand where you are now.
This isn’t just a service. It’s a promise: that you and your pet will be held with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our hearts are with you, always.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
— Winnie The Pooh
Why we do
what we do
We chose water because it is where all life begins. It is gentle, patient, and enduring. Just like how the streams carve the valleys, water cradles each soul with quiet strength and guides them softly on their journey.
This journey begins in the warm amniotic water of their mother’s womb; we now lead them to the final, comforting warm water that carries them back to mother nature.
This is not just a farewell. It is a circle of life completed. A return to where life first started, carried in kindness, and entrusted to the great flow of nature.
We honour those we love in the tender embrace of mother earth, may they find solace and belonging.
In the short time our pets share with us, they fill our days with laughter, catch our teardrops with their ears, and walk beside us through the chapters of our life. When their time with us ends, the silence feels heavy, and the goodbye can feel impossible.
We hear how much pet parents want for a farewell that match the love and bond they shared; and our pets deserved. We want to create a space where grief is met with compassion, and where every pet is honoured with dignity.
We do what we do because these bonds matter. Because your pet’s story is worth remembering. Because love doesn’t end when life does — it simply asks to be cherished in a new way.
Grief is a quiet companion. It often waits until the house is still, until no one is watching, it starts to creep on us. Too often, we forget that the tears we need to shed had been held back so hard, as if the love we lost is somehow “less” because it had four paws instead of two hands.
Come to us! This is a safe place to let it out. We want to create a gentle space where your love is honoured, where you can let go of the weight you carry without judgment, and where healing can quietly begin.
We hope to help you release the grief you’ve held so tightly and begin to remember your companion with more smiles than sorrow.
“Love remains, long after they’ve journeyed on.”
